Eleanor presents the monthly look at Surrey's history. This month
Dani Maimone reports from the flypast of a
Lancaster Bomber over Brooklands Museum on the 12th May 2013 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the
Dambusters Raid and talks to some of those who worked alongside Barnes Wallis developing and manufacturing the
bouncing bomb at Brooklands and surrounding locations; and
Celia Jones meets those taking part in the opening
of the Hanworth Loop of the Narrow Gauge Hampton & Kempton Waterworks Railway project by the Metropolitan
Water Board Railway Society. Plus the history what's on in Surrey during August.

Robert Moore and
John Burnett recall
the history of the Walton & Weybridge Regatta; recollections from local residents of the Queen's Coronation 60
years ago; David Frith author of the new book Guildford's Cricket Story; a bus journey back in time with
David Kinnear, Curator of The London Bus Museum; plus the history what's on in Surrey during July.

Eleanor presents a Suffragette Special to commemorate the centenary of the death of Suffragette Emily Wilding Davison
at the Epsom Derby in 1913. Interviews with
Elly Badcock, Campaign Press Officer, and
Katherine Connelly,
Campaign Co-ordinator of the Emily Wilding Davison Memorial Campaign, with
Annabel Gill, College Archivist
at Royal Holloway, University of London and
Irene Cockroft, Guest Curator of the Bourne Hall Museum in
Epsom's Exhibition on Emily Wilding Davison and the Suffragette Movement, "Dying for the Vote".

Eleanor delves into Surrey's history including finding out about the Walton Charity and the Royal bedchambers at
Hampton Court Palace, plus details of historical events taking place in Surrey during May.
Monday, 8th April
Eleanor talks to
Jonathan White, Museum Manager of Elmbridge Museum and
Wies Rogalski who along
with his brother has set up an exhibition about Tweedsmuir the Polish Resettlement Camp. Plus news of events
and exhibitions in Surrey in April and the Pub Quiz with a twist!

Magna Carta and its forthcoming 800th anniversary.
